I established Inter Intra in 2006 to provide IT consulting, implementation and support services for on-site and cloud-based infrastructure. But I’ve been into computers since long before then…
I still remember the day dad brought home a ColecoVision arcade game system and plugged it into the telly. It was the mid-80s and my siblings and I had never seen anything like it. We crowded around in awe and spent hours trying to beat the games. I didn’t know it at the time, but that was the start of a life-long passion.
I starting building computers in high school, at St Josephs, Port Lincoln and discovered I was pretty good at it. I remember the time I installed a program and locked my mate out of his computer for half the day, as a joke. The principal was not amused.
My first job was working for a (different) mate’s parents who had an accounting firm, back home in Streaky Bay. Going out and setting up remote software on their clients’ computers gave me great exposure to many types of businesses.
I moved to Adelaide, and started studying a bachelor of IT at UniSA, I got a part time job which turned into full time so I put uni on hold and spent the next 4 years working with a national IT services organisation. Going out to schools, setting up systems, planning and project managing gave me more great experience and the next step up.
In 2006, I started Inter Intra and within a few months needed to put on staff. My motto has always been to employ people who are not only computer savvy but people friendly, too. Professional, old-fashioned service and being able to speak plain English are definite prerequisites!

These days I work behind the scenes, but I’ve built up a front line of passionate people who share my core values. Our friendly work environment plus new style management means that we work as a team — everybody does their bit and goals are achieved collectively.

We’re Certified Amazon Consulting Partners, hold a Microsoft Certified Partnership and are also members of AIIA, ITSMF and Brand SA. Our partnerships give us an inside view of the ever-evolving technologies and, if we need it, valuable access to the expertise of their internal technical departments, to assist our clients.
When I started the company we used to do a lot of on-premise big server installations. These days we’re setting up cloud services through a web browser. But the bulk of our work is still support — that hasn’t changed. So whatever IT support you need, you can count on us.

Our help desk management system is built from the ground up using the ITIL methodology. ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) is a set of practices for IT Service Management (ITSM). ITIL focuses on aligning IT services with the business needs. ITIL is the industry benchmark.
