SEDA College SA

About the client
SEDA College SA is an independent secondary school with approximately 300 students. Students complete their Years 11 and 12 through an individual approach to learning that provides opportunities to develop real skills for a successful future.

Client requirements
SEDA College SA was a part of the wider SEDA Group. The leadership team and Principal advised they would like to branch away from SEDA Group and take full control of their IT infrastructure. SEDA College SA engaged the project team at Inter Intra to scope, design and implement this desired IT change.

Inter Intra migrated all Microsoft 365 services to a new educational tenancy, established secure single sign-on across all devices and services, migrated data to newly established virtual cloud servers in Amazon Web Services and facilitated a machine deployment of 150 plus new workstations. Microsoft InTune is now used as the primary deployment platform for all new workstation builds for students and faculty. All services within the SEDA College SA ecosystem are secured with two-factor authentication. As the college is now using the best in class tools available they have been able to scale significantly since partnering with Inter Intra.

BTG Ongoing support

About the client
BTG Specialty Pharmaceuticals provides rescue medicines typically used in emergency rooms and intensive care units to treat patients for whom there are limited treatment options. They have offices and manufacturing plants throughout the world. Inter Intra has been working with the Australian arm of the business since 2015.

Client requirements
The Australian arm of the company has two sites in South Australia. The internal IT department resides in the United Kingdom and supports other international sites via remote tools. Inter Intra was contacted and asked to provide an onsite resource to assist with day-to-day in-house ICT support.

Inter Intra have been supplying onsite staff outsourcing to BTG over the past 5 years. We have had a rotation of our very own trained staff onsite full time providing support to their local team and global helpdesk. Having more than one technician trained at that site means we can rotate our team and still deliver the same level of support to the staff.

LJH Cloud Migration

About the client
Today, LJ Hooker is one of the largest real estate agency franchise groups in Australasia with over 700 franchises and 8,000 staff. LJ Hooker St Peters prides itself on being driven to achieve success, but are also a company of genuine, committed individuals who work together as one team to help achieve your real estate dreams.

Client requirements
LJ Hooker St Peters, Glynde and Adelaide Commercial were looking to move their on-premise servers to a cloud environment to ensure their data was secure and accessible at the office and on the go. They also were after a reliable system that would be easy to manage and grow as their business would.

Inter Intra migrated their onsite servers to AWS, migrating Gigabytes of data over a short period of time to ensure a quick turnaround. The project was completed successfully and Inter Intra provided onsite support for the role out to the users to educate and introduce them the new setup. The site runs on a cloud terminal server hosted in AWS where over 100 staff log in everyday.

PSD Energy

About the client
PSD Energy is a large mechanical, civil and electrical engineering company. They have approximately 120 staff based across Australia and South Africa. PSD Energy has been an Inter Intra client since 2015 and has achieved significant growth each year.

Client requirements
Aging onsite and out of warranty infrastructure prompted Inter Intra and PSD Energy to start investigating new solutions that would tailor business growth, security, redundancy and efficiency. PSD Energy staff are heavy users of engineering software programs such as AutoCAD. Inter Intra had to scope and design a solution that fitted all the business needs and staff requirements.

Inter Intra proposed a hybrid cloud solution for PSD Energy. The primary reason for this was because of the engineering software programs and their requirements. At the time of design and implementation, cloud services/virtual desktops were not at a sufficient level to provide a successful user experience for the staff when trying to use AutoCAD. Inter Intra deployed three new physical onsite servers (two in Australia and one in South Africa). These physical servers were connected to a domain and cloud ecosystem running in Amazon Web Services. The majority of the line of business applications were successfully migrated into the cloud environment but to maintain a great user experience for the AutoCAD software, data was also kept onsite via the new physical hosts. For redundancy, data is synced between local onsite servers and the Amazon Web Services virtual private cloud. Access to PSD Energy data from outside of the physical office locations is locked down with a secure VPN and two-factor authentication.

Your Place Housing

About the client
Your Place Housing is a Not For Profit organisation that provides accommodation, supports communities and improves lives. Your Place Housing has been partnering with Inter Intra since 2009 and has successfully transitioned through three major IT changes throughout the years.

Client requirements
In 2015 old onsite and out of warranty infrastructure that housed email and data were decommissioned and migrated. The mail was migrated to Microsoft Office 365 and the services/data was migrated to an Amazon Web Services virtual private cloud using virtual desktops. Since 2015 the majority of business applications that the staff were using had been migrated to web browser-based applications. The Inter Intra project team approached the client with a solution to decommission the Amazon Web Services cloud servers and migrate all data to SharePoint Online.

Inter Intra project team designed migration plan for data move from Amazon Web Services to SharePoint Online. Your Place Housing qualify for Not For Profit Microsoft licensing and Inter Intra was able to upgrade all licenses in order to use the benefits of Microsoft InTune. All staff machines were reset and connected to the Microsoft Azure domain. These changes enabled single sign-on across the organisation, mobile device management, SharePoint mappings and increased governance across workstations across the organisation. The Amazon Web Services virtual cloud servers were decommissioned, this resulted in significant monthly savings for Your Place Housing. The client is now “serverless” and has Microsoft Office 365 complete tenancy backup for further redundancy.

Ceduna Aboriginal Corporation

About the client
Ceduna Aboriginal Corporation is a Not For Profit organisation that has been delivering services in the Ceduna and far west regions since 1974. The organisation has been an Inter Intra partner since 2020. Inter Intra acknowledges the importance of keeping the IT systems running due to the client being in regional South Australia.

Client requirements
After being on boarded as a client in early 2020, Inter Intra’s first line of business was to enable the client to qualify for Microsoft Not For Profit Licensing. Upon successful qualification, Inter Intra and the leadership team at CAC both agreed to migrate all email and data to the Microsoft cloud ecosystem. The end goal was to use the best in class tools to increase the productivity of the staff, enabling secure access to the data from outside of the organisation and saving costs on server hosting.

Inter Intra project team designed and implemented the migration of email services to a Not For Profit Microsoft Office 365 tenancy. Email data is no longer sitting on a physical server and the staff had access to their emails from any computer with an Internet connection. Upon successful completion of the email migration, data was then transferred to SharePoint Online from a hosted server that was based in Adelaide. There was no downtime for the client and two Inter Intra engineers were on-site in Ceduna to facilitate the successful migration. Access to the email and data is secured with two-factor authentication and Office 365 Complete Tenancy Backup is now in place. An onsite server in Ceduna and a hosted server in Adelaide are now decommissioned. This major IT change has resulted in significant monthly savings for the organisation and data is now in a more secure platform with increased security and redundancy. The organisation is now “serverless” and this has enabled them to achieve significant growth in the last 18 months.

AGL Energy

About the client
AGL Energy Ltd is an Australian listed public company involved in both the generation and retailing of electricity and gas for residential and commercial use.

Client requirements
AGL Energy Ltd had the requirement for a senior network engineer to work with their internal ICT team. The resource assigned would be deployed at AGL Torrens Island for a period of 6 months ongoing.

Inter Intra has a range of skilled employees. Inter Intra deployed a senior network engineer as per contractual requirements. The senior network engineer has been deployed at AGL Torrens Island and has become an integral part of the internal ICT team. The Inter Intra resource has helped maintain and expand the “isolated” network as per AGL requirements.

Glenelg Community Hospital

About the client
The Glenelg Community Hospital has been caring for the health of the community for over 60 years. The hospital provides high quality, cost-effective holistic care and services to its customers. Inter Intra has a long-standing relationship with the hospital since 2007. The hospital has successfully navigated through three major ICT changes during its partnership with Inter Intra.

Client requirements
In 2019, ageing and onsite out of warranty infrastructure was to be replaced. The Inter Intra project team designed and scoped a cloud migration roadmap for the hospital. The roadmap was split into two; email and data migrations.

The Inter Intra project team successfully migrated all email services to the Microsoft Office 365 cloud platform. Once email migration was completed, the Inter Intra project team scoped and designed an Amazon Web Services patient data/services migration. A virtual private cloud was built in Amazon Web Services and patient data/services were migrated over a period of time. A secure encrypted VPN was configured between the local site and the virtual private cloud in Amazon Web Services Sydney data centre. All onsite infrastructure was decommissioned successfully. The hospital has now better security of its patient data, increased uptime, increased productivity for its staff and the infrastructure is scalable allowing the business to grow.
