A multi-generational accounting and financial planning firm in South Australia's Riverland. PRP Group partnered with InterIntra on a forward-looking technology modernisation, strengthening security and reliability for the clients who trust the firm with their financial future.
PRP Group's accountants and financial advisers look after the financial wellbeing of families and businesses across the Riverland and beyond, work that depends on systems their clients can trust. Like many long-established firms, PRP had grown over the years on technology that had served it well and was ready for renewal.
Rather than wait for issues to arise, the firm took a proactive step, commissioning an independent technology review. The review confirmed the fundamentals were sound and pointed to clear opportunities to strengthen the firm's setup, particularly around identity and access, data protection and staff awareness, giving PRP a prioritised plan to act on with confidence.
InterIntra turned that review into a clear, prioritised modernisation plan, delivered in carefully managed stages alongside PRP's own team so day-to-day work was never disrupted.
We modernised the firm's core systems, moving document storage onto Microsoft 365 with SharePoint and OneDrive so staff can work securely from anywhere, backed by on-site support and training to make the transition smooth. We then strengthened security around the firm's identity and data, introducing enforced multi-factor authentication and Conditional Access so only the right people, in the right places, can reach client information, and adding a Microsoft 365 backup that keeps a protected, independent copy of the firm's data.
To round out the program, we rolled out a business password manager and an ongoing cyber-awareness training program, recognising that well-supported, well-informed people are a central part of keeping any business secure.
PRP Group now runs on a modern, well-managed technology platform built for security and reliability. Document storage is consolidated in Microsoft 365, access to client data is protected by multi-factor authentication, the firm's information is backed up, and its people are equipped to help keep it safe. The work has brought PRP into line with the ACSC Essential Eight, the baseline cyber framework for Australian organisations, giving the firm a strong, future-ready foundation to keep delivering for its clients with confidence.
