Do you manage cloud infrastructure as well as on-premises servers?

Yes. We manage hybrid environments that span on-premises infrastructure and Azure or AWS cloud. This includes Azure IaaS and PaaS services, Azure Virtual Desktop, AWS EC2 and RDS, and cloud-connected backup and DR. If your environment is moving to cloud over time, we plan and execute that transition rather than just managing what's there today.

How do you handle backups and disaster recovery?

Backups are only worth the last time you tested them. We manage backup jobs, verify data integrity automatically, and conduct restore tests on a scheduled basis, not just assume it's working. Disaster recovery plans are documented, tested and reviewed annually. RPO and RTO targets are defined in your agreement so you know exactly what to expect when something goes wrong.

What happens when a server goes down?

Our monitoring detects server failures and degradation automatically. A P1 server outage triggers a 1-hour response from our team, with a 4-hour resolution target. If the issue requires on-site intervention, failed hardware, drives, power, we dispatch within 4 hours for Adelaide metro. We keep spare hardware available for common failure scenarios to avoid waiting on vendor lead times.

When should we upgrade or replace ageing infrastructure?

We track hardware end-of-life, warranty status and vendor support timelines for everything in your environment. Lifecycle planning recommendations come through your quarterly business reviews, well before hardware becomes a risk. We also flag when the economics of maintaining ageing on-premises infrastructure no longer stack up against a cloud or hybrid alternative, and give you an honest comparison.
