What does managed network services actually include?

Continuous monitoring of your switches, routers, firewalls and wireless access points. Proactive alerting and incident response, we investigate alerts before they become outages. Configuration management, firmware patching, capacity planning and full network documentation. WiFi design and management, firewall policy review and change control, and regular network health reporting. Everything runs under the same financial SLA as our broader managed services engagement.

Which network vendors do you work with?

We're an Aruba Networks partner for switching and wireless, and a Check Point partner for firewalls and network security. We also work with Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, Ubiquiti and most mainstream enterprise networking brands. We recommend based on what suits your environment and budget, not on which vendor has the best rebate programme.

How do you handle network changes and firewall rules?

All changes go through a documented change control process, no ad-hoc firewall rule changes made and forgotten. Requests are logged, reviewed, scheduled and tested. We maintain current configuration backups for every device so recovery from a misconfiguration or hardware failure is fast.

Can you take over management of our existing network equipment?

Yes. We start with a network audit, documenting your current topology, device inventory, firmware versions and any known issues. From there we onboard your equipment into our monitoring and management platform and establish a baseline. If hardware is end-of-life or approaching it, we'll flag that and include it in lifecycle planning, but we'll manage what you have in the meantime.

What happens when a network device fails or the internet goes down?

Our monitoring detects outages and degraded performance automatically, often before your staff notice. For critical network failures, we respond under the same P1/P2 SLA as any other outage: 1-hour response for a full outage, 2 hours for major degradation. We investigate remotely first, and dispatch on-site if the issue requires physical access to the hardware.
